OldSchool @ Bandar Puteri Puchong

It has been a long time every since I celebrate le girlfriend's birthday. We decided to give Wan Yien's a surprise as she didn't really know where we were heading after first round of celebrating her birthday. Well, Wan Yien is the second one count from right. We went to OldSchool at Bandar Puteri Puchong to try out their signature dish, Pork.

Ok, you can get a glance of what's in their menu soon by just looking at the shop name. Pork, Pork and Pork lol.

A huge blackboard with all sorts of formula on it. The tagline is quite catchy lol. So without saying anything, you should probably can guess this is a cafe which specializes in pork.

Look at the "exercise books", cute right? And for your info, this is a menu book.

Still remember these principles? I still remember how I used to recite it everyday during my primary school.

Ice Lemon Tea RM 4.20

Mango Smoothie RM 6.90

Milk Tea RM 3.40

Warm water RM 1.50

Pulled Pork Burger RM 14.90
Specially made Charcoal bun with Shredded Prok and Lettuce, topped with BBQ sauce.

Rice with Pork Curry RM 12.80
Steamed Fragrance rice, served with Pork curry, pickles and soup of the day.
The comment from my friend was: It is another ordinary curry pork rice, wasn't too good nor too bad.

"Banh Mi" Char Siew Sandwich RM 12.90
French Baguetta spread with Pork Pake and Mayonnaise, filled with sliced Char Siew, Fleckled Basils and Carrot, Chinese Parsley, Chili Padi sprinkled with Maggi seasoning.

OldSchool Porky Burger with potato wedges RM 16.90
Specially made Charcoal bun with Homemade Pork Patty, Sandwich Ham, Bak Bacon, Lettuce, Caramelised Onion and Pineapple, topped with tomato Chanty sauce.
I was a little disappointed when I saw this arrived. The patty was not as promising as it shown in the menu. The caramelised onion and pineapple did not enhance the taste. However, the bacon and ham topped with the patty did make a nice combo for the burger.

Pork Bolognaise RM 12.90
Specially made with Pork Bolognaise sauce, topped with Parmesan Cheese.

OldSchool Fried Rice RM 14.90
Fried rice with Char Siew, Shrimp and Long Bean, served with Char Siew Omellete.
Comment from the friend: It tasted like those Mamak Omelete Rice. Though I know he wasn't serious about the comment, when I tasted the rice, it did tasted like those fried rice in Mamak stall.

OldSchool Grilled Pork Cutlet RM 22.80
Special cut Pork Cutlet, marinated and grilled to perfection, served with buttered  vegetable, potato wedges, and tomato Chanty sauce.

OldSchool Grilled Pork Shoulder Steak RM 22.90
Special cut Pork Shoulder, marinated and grilled to perfection, served with buttered vegetable, potato wedges, and tomato Chanty sauce.

Verdict: It is a nice place to hang out with a group of friends, especially celebrating one's birthday or just for gathering purpose. Their burger is one of the top selling food but don't hope for the best as it isn't tasty as those Burgerstory or whatsoever burger stalls out there. I find the drinks were slightly expensive compared to those average cafes. Nevertheless, their porks are promising as it is. The tenderness for the meat is pretty much at its standard.
