MILO Fuel for Champions Campaign

I was glad to be invited by Nuffnang to attend an event organized by Milo. MILO. MILO more on coffee and tea LOL. Anyway, I still love the MILO drinks from MILO trucks because they taste a lot better than the one I made to myself.

In order to drive the true value of sports and to develop young athletes as champions of the nation, MILO and the Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM) launched MILO “Fuel for Champions” campaign on 5th September 2013.

The campaign was officiated by YB Encik Khairy Jamaluddin, Minister of Youth and Sports Malaysia. He applauded MILO’s commitment with the participation on shaping Malaysia’s youth sporting landscape. He also added on the commitment from MILO in nurturing and developing the nation’s talent talent and leading them to greater heights.

MILO “Fuel for Champions” campaign is more than just one-time sponsorship as it aims to empower and energize young sport talents to strive for success in the early stages of the lives. This is also to inspire the parents on encouraging their children to participate in sports from young.

Alois Hofbauer, Region Head of Nestle Malaysia and Singapore gave his speech and insights on the launch of MILO “Fuel for Champions”. He said, “MILO, together with our key sporting partners such as the Olympic Council of Malaysia has played a major role in the development of the Malaysian sporting arena, focusing on junior and grassroots sports, reaching out to children of all walks of life throughout the country.”

The official launch of MILO “Fuel for Champions” was completed with a Torch Relay. Yong Shin Min (National Basketball Team), S. Kannanthasan (National Relay Runner), Hakimi Ismail (National Long Jump Athlete) and Khoo Chai Lin (National Swimmer) were the chosen athletes on the Torch Relay ceremony. They are also the one who will be representing Malaysia in the 27th SEA Games in Myanmar. 

The launch was ended with the performance by the National Synchronize Swimmers Team.
